The government is taking a step towards the “repentants”.
Holders of false vaccine passes who wish to be vaccinated can now go to a vaccination center to regularize their situation without risk of prosecution, announces a message sent (PDF document) Monday, February 14 to all health professionals by the management. General of Health (DGS).
It will now be possible to cancel and register a new vaccination cycle under the authority of the head of the center or, when the head of the center is a healthcare professional, the administrative manager.
The latter must “ensure individual monitoring of the entire process from cancellation to vaccination;
verify that the identity of the person is the same as the one registered for the fake cycle to be canceled,” the document states.
An Urgent DGS details the procedure to follow when a penitent holder of a false health/vaccination pass comes to be vaccinated, as now permitted by law.

The law initially only provided for the possibility for these “fraudsters” to report themselves thirty days after having committed an offense related to the pass.
From now on, the managers of the centers who will regularize these situations will not have to check that this deadline has been respected or to warn the police.
According to the latest census from the Ministry of the Interior, 182,000 people had been checked with a fake health pass as of December 20, 2021, and at the beginning of January "5% of hospitalized patients" arrived at the hospital with a fraudulent sesame.
As a reminder, the possession of a false pass must now be repressed by five years' imprisonment and up to 75,000 euros in fines.
Similarly, using someone else's pass or passing on a pass to another for fraudulent use will be punished with a fixed fine of 1,000 euros, compared to 135 euros today.
