CovPass app: New update makes everyday life easier for those who have been boosted

There will soon be an important update for boosted users for the CovPass app.

The CovPass app will be getting a new update soon.

With this, the QR code of boosted people will finally be accepted at the check.

Munich - In the meantime it is part of everyday life in all kinds of situations - whether on a shopping tour or when visiting a restaurant - first of all pull out the mobile phone at the front door.

The recovered or vaccinated status is queried using the CovPass app.

Scanning the QR code is a convenient way to check.

Where 2G+ applies, i.e. entry only for those who have been vaccinated three times, those who have recovered or those who have been vaccinated twice with negative test evidence, the process was jerky, especially for those who had been boosted.

The QR code does not yet contain the third vaccination against the corona virus, so it was not recognized by the CovPass check app.

The consequence: Press the screen once and scroll down to the list of vaccinations.

But this annoying intermediate step is over now.

Update of the CovPass app: Third vaccination stored in QR code

The latest update of the app will be available in the app stores shortly.

In version 1.18 the problem is finally solved.

The CovPass check app then also accepts the third vaccination with a simple scan of the QR code.

The last update to version 1.17 was about a week ago, so the latest improvement won't be long in coming.

The developers are constantly working to improve the app and adapt it to the given circumstances.

There are also regular exciting innovations in the WhatsApp messenger service.
