Samsung pursues a clear goal: to design quality products and services that contribute to the betterment of society on a global scale.
To this end, the company attaches significant importance to its employees but also to the technologies it offers.
The cameras of Samsung smartphones and tablets, for example, can easily read and process QR codes, sometimes using a corresponding app.

What is a QR Code?
The origins of the QR code
Thanks to a pixelated pattern made up of black modules on a white square background, the QR code (Quick Response) is able to store information and make it accessible.
The QR code has been around since the 1990s. It was invented by the Japanese firm Denso Wave, a subsidiary of Toyota.
Its purpose at the time was to follow the itinerary of spare parts within the factories.
The concept gained momentum from 1999 when the company, which held the exclusive rights to the QR code until then, decided to publish it under a free license.
However, it took several years to see its use become more democratic.
Today, the QR Code is widely used in France, especially since the Covid-19 epidemic and the introduction of the health pass, then the vaccination pass.
The possibilities offered by QR codes
The possibilities offered by QR codes are almost endless.
The objective can be to obtain the menu of a restaurant, to quickly connect to a website, to access a form to fill, to a Wi-Fi connection or to receive payment information.
Unlike the barcode, the QR code can be read in 2 directions.
This allows it to store more data.
How to scan QR via Samsung phone?
To access the information hidden behind a QR code, simply scan it from a smartphone or tablet.
Several methods exist.
Use your Samsung camera
Depending on the model of Samsung device you have, QR Code scanning may already be a built-in feature.
If so, to scan it, just open your camera and point it at the QR code.
The data is then instantly displayed on the screen.
Use a third-party app
Older Samsung devices may require a dedicated app to read QR codes.
If the most famous are Google Lens or Barcode Scanner from Zxing Team, the choice in this area is not lacking.
In all cases, the manipulations are similar.
Simply open the mobile app and point your device at the QR code for the information to appear.
Use Bixby
Many Samsung phones in the Galaxy range are also equipped with artificial intelligence technology Bixby which allows, among other things, to read a QR Code.
To use Bixby, open your device's camera, click "Bixby Vision" and aim for the QR Code.
The link then appears and you just have to click on it to access it.
