From the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the increase in imports of masks to the breath of fresh air that will come with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr).

To take stock of the situation of companies that produce medical devices in Italy is the special ANSA Incontra, which will be broadcast in streaming on Thursday 17 February at 12 on Ansa.it.

The meeting with Massimiliano Boggetti, president of Confindustria Medical Devices, will be an opportunity to investigate the critical issues that emerged with the pandemic emergency and the challenges for the future of a sector that focuses on innovation and research, and which ranges from robotics to mechanics, from biology to chemistry.

A sector, often little known, which has a concrete impact on people's lives and which produces about 1.5 million devices of different types, ranging from tampons and masks to pulse oximeters and respirators, passing from needles to stethoscopes and mammograms.

The renewal of the hospital technology park and the drive towards medical technologies for the relaunch of local medicine will be the key that will allow companies to relaunch thanks to the funds provided by the NRP.

But in the context of the supply problems that companies face today and the crisis of raw materials and the threats of war that the world faces today.
