(ANSA) - ROME - The "pink quotas" are growing in the world of wine lovers and "wine experts" with one wine consumer out of two being a woman.
The trend is reported by Gennaro Buono, professional sommelier, Italian champion in 2012 and among the top 30 sommeliers in the world and Enrico Mazza, sommelier and champagne expert at international level, Chevalier du Champagne and Maitre Sabreur, both founders of Sommelier Coach, digital factory that combines wine training with personal growth.
The two wine professionals, in presenting a top 5 of wines paired with different female personalities, highlight that according to a recent study conducted by Wine Intelligence for the Italian Wine Union Observatory (Uiv), 55% of wine consumers are women, in a range between 18 and 35 years.
The market analyzes also show that in the field of wine tourism the female public who purchases experiences in the cellar is expanding from year to year and in 2021 66% of the purchase of wine tourism experiences was managed by women.
