VIDEO. Covid-19: from February 28, "one pass, no mask", announces Gabriel Attal

As the government plans to lift the vaccine pass for the end of March or the beginning of April, a number of anti-Covid restrictions will begin

Bars, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, museums… From February 28, wearing a mask in all closed places subject to the vaccination pass will no longer be compulsory, with the exception of transport.

"It's one less constraint, it's one more freedom and it's a moment expected by the French," said government spokesman Gabriel Attal on Tuesday after the Council of Ministers.

Eating popcorn in a movie theatre, a sandwich in a stadium or on a train, or even having a drink standing up at a bar counter will therefore once again be possible.

Other good news for the world of the night: from this Wednesday, the discos, closed since December 10, will be able to reopen.

At school, the health protocol will also be lightened.

As soon as they return from the winter holidays, pupils and staff of elementary schools will no longer be subject to the obligation to wear a mask outdoors.

But the end of the main restrictive measures “does not mean the end of caution”, reminded Gabriel Attal.

“Yes, the contamination figures continue to drop, but this drop must still be confirmed, especially in the hospital”.
