More than 300 hours of images gathered in a 4h30 trilogy… Here is the work that Clarence “Coodie” Simmons did with Kanye

In 1998, director Clarence “Coodie” Simmons decided to point his camera at a promising young producer: Kanye West.

For more than 20 years, the filmmaker has followed the career of the artist, but has also accompanied him in his private life.

The result of these years of work is compiled within "jeen-yuhs: The Kanye West trilogy", co-directed by Chike Ozah.

Divided into three parts, this documentary invites viewers to discover the daily life, the ups and downs, of one of the major figures of American hip-hop.

Music, fashion, presidential elections, romances, family… This Wednesday, February 16, Netflix unveiled the first act of the Kanye West trilogy, entitled “Vision”.

The other parts will be broadcast over the next two weeks on the streaming platform.
