(ANSA) - BERLIN, 16 FEB - The Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival 2022 went to the Spanish film Alcarras by Carla Simon.
The film, also produced by the Italian Kino Produzioni, is the portrait of the Solé, three generations who have always spent the summer on their peach plantation in the Catalonian village of Alcarràs.
But this year's harvest could be the last.
The family is threatened with eviction from the owner of the land.
Trees need to be replaced by solar panels, and economic worries lead to breakdowns in the family, while everyone's fate looms.
The Barcelona director was inspired by her personal story and chose non-professional actors who speak the Catalan dialect.
