For the former MotoGP champion, this is the first test of 2022, at the Magny-Cours circuit, with the aim of preparing in the best possible way for his debut in the European GT championship.
After making his debut in Valencia in November, the nine-time world champion posted a social video about his return to the wheel of the Belgian WRT team Audi R8.
Rossi rode on a wet track in a car with an unofficial livery.
Rossi is preparing to get ready for the start of this new adventure which will kick off on April 3 right in Italy, in Imola.
The GT championship includes 10 races preceded by the official test session, scheduled for 7 and 8 March on the Castellet circuit.
