Retires following visit:
Ukraine's representative of Eurovision 2022, Alina Pash, announced her retirement from the competition after being accused of visiting the Crimean peninsula after its annexation to Russia, which is considered illegal in Ukraine.
The singer announced this on her Instagram page, where she wrote: "I am a citizen of Ukraine, I obey the laws of Ukraine, and try to bring the tradition and values of Ukraine to the world.
"This story has become something that has nothing to do with what my song is about."
Following the development of recent events, there is a chance that Ukraine will retire completely from the Eurovision Song Contest this year and will not participate in it at all.
