In a discussion with the participation of the Minister of Health and senior officials of the Ministry of Health, it was decided that the obligation to isolate unvaccinated Israelis back to Israel would be abolished.

Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz and senior officials of the Ministry of Health discussed today (Wednesday) the removal of some of the Corona restrictions in general and regarding restrictions on entry into Israel in particular.

During the discussion, it was decided that the corona test on a flight back to Israel will be canceled and only the test will land on landing at Ben Gurion Airport, and that the isolation obligation for unvaccinated Israelis back to Israel will be abolished.

In addition, during the meeting it was decided that foreign children up to the age of 12 accompanied by vaccinated parents - will be allowed to enter the country, with isolation until a negative result from the test at Ben Gurion Airport, but foreigners over the age of 12 not vaccinated - will not be allowed to enter the country.

Meanwhile, as part of the emerging trend in which corona restrictions will be phased out by March 1, it has been decided that the green mark in at-risk events will not be extended and that the mandate to wear masks in enclosed spaces will remain.

The one who pushed for facilitating the entry of unvaccinated and foreign Israelis into Israel was the Minister of Tourism, Yoel Rezbozov, who sent a letter to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on February 2 on the subject.

Minister Rezbozov sought to examine the possibility of granting an exemption, of course based on a corona examination.

As we published today in "Israel Today", it should be noted that Prime Minister Bennett is expected to convene a debate tomorrow evening aimed at gradually removing all restrictions by March 1.

The decision to ease the conditions of entry into the country will probably take effect next week, in order to open Israel to tourists again and allow children to enter the country, a move that means renewing tourism for families.

At the same time, the green mark will be abolished at events and conferences, and the outline of education and the removal of masks in closed spaces will continue in the meantime, and will be reconsidered in a week.
