History: A model with Down Syndrome stars in the Victoria's Secret campaign Israel today

For the first time in the history of the successful lingerie brand Victoria's Secret ', a model with Down Syndrome was chosen to take part in the company's unique campaign.

Sofia Jirau (24) was chosen along with 17 other models to star in the Love Cloud 'campaign, which features 18 unique women in different sizes and backgrounds, in which she appears in lingerie.

"One day I dreamed about it, I worked on it, and today it has become a dream come true," Jirau shared her 200,000 followers on Instagram in a long series of posts to promote the campaign.

"Now I can finally reveal to you my big secret," she wrote in Spanish below her photo from the campaign.

"I'm the first model with Down Syndrome."

"Thank you Victoria's Secret for seeing me as a borderless model and making me part of the collection in this campaign," she added.

"Inside and out there are no boundaries' and I love it."

Giro can mark another historic V as the second model of Puerto Rican descent to star in the campaign of the successful clothing brand, as she shares the spotlight with model Joan Smalls.

Jirau's charisma and infectious personality kick-started her successful modeling career that began in 2019 in Puerto Rico, and in addition to campaigning and marching at New York Fashion Week, she also founded her own online fashion brand called Alavett, a bilingual pun based on her favorite phrase - I love it.

Jiro also launched a Spanish-speaking campaign called No Limits, which aims to empower and empower people with Down Syndrome and encourage them to fulfill their dreams despite all the difficulties.

Jirau joins the brand at a time when it is trying to change its image after years of being criticized for problematic casting of models and the impossible cultivation and rooting of the beauty model.
