Those who preferred geography to German or English at school now have an excellent “Wordle” alternative in “Worldle”.
"Wordle"* is a simple play on words that has developed into an absolute trend.
It became so popular that the New York Times bought the game from its founder for over $1 million.
Many imitators have now created their own versions that differ slightly from the original.
For example, there is the German "Wördl" - and if you like it more special, you will also find offshoots for "The Lord of the Rings" fans or the like.
Another game has recently appeared on the scene, which is definitely one of the most creative "Wordle" clones.
This is called "Worldle".

"Worldle": The "Wordle" for geography enthusiasts
In Worldle, the goal is
to identify a country by its outline
.
As with the template, players have six tries to get the result.
If the attempt fails, a small arrow shows the direction in which the country you are looking for is located and how many kilometers away it is.
True geography experts can choose to rotate the displayed image or not display it at all, making it even more challenging.
As with Wordle, there is a new puzzle every day and users can share their results on social media.

“Worldle” is already very popular
Worldle was developed by Antoine Teuf, a 31-year-old web and video game developer from Montpellier, France.
He explains to the Washington Post that he got the idea because his girlfriend likes to solve geography quizzes and one of his best friends plays
GeoGuessr
.
In the latter, players have to guess which location it is using images from Google Street View.
Teuf himself admits that he's pretty bad at geography.
“Worldle” has meanwhile experienced a boom similar to that of the original.
According to the Washington Post, the game recently reached
almost a million players
