(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 18 - Intensive therapies drop below a thousand mark, after the continuous decline in recent weeks: they are 987, down by 50 compared to yesterday.

There are 53,662 new infections from Covid in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 57,890.

Victims were 314 instead (yesterday there were 320).


   There are 510,283 molecular and antigenic swabs for coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 538,131.

The positivity rate is 10.5%, substantially stable compared to 10.7% yesterday.

The hospitalized with symptoms in the ordinary wards are 13,948, or 614 fewer than yesterday.

12,377,098 Italians have been infected with Covid since the beginning of the pandemic, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The currently positive deposits are 1,404,122, down by 34,086 in the last 24 hours, while the total deaths rise to 152,596.

The discharged and healed were 10,820,380, with an increase of 87,472 compared to yesterday.
