The incidence of Covid-19 cases and the Rt transmissibility index in Italy are still decreasing

The weekly incidence at the national level drops to 672 per 100,000 inhabitants (11/02/2022 -17/02/2021) against 962 per 100,000 inhabitants in the previous week (04/02/2022 -10/02/2021), data flow Ministry of Health.
In the period January 26, 2022 - February 8, 2022, the mean Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was instead equal to 0.77 (range 0.72 - 0.88), a decrease compared to the previous week when it was equal to 0.89 and below the epidemic threshold.
This is evidenced by the weekly monitoring Iss-Ministry of Health.
The reduction of Covid patients in hospitals continues.
The weekly ISS-Ministry of Health monitoring indicates that the employment rate in intensive care is 10.4% (daily survey by the Ministry of Health as of February 17) against 13.4% the previous week.
The employment rate in medical areas nationwide is 22.2% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of 10 February) against 26.5% seven days earlier.
The percentage of cases detected through contact tracing activity is slightly down (17% versus 18% last week).
The percentage of cases detected through the appearance of symptoms is also decreasing (31% vs 33%), while the percentage of cases diagnosed through screening activities is increasing (52% vs 48%).
