A free way to music, to react and 'fight back', go back to the future and look at the world, adjusting the aim from time to time.
It is a path that goes in all directions of creativity in notes, the one chosen by Elisa for her return to the scene with the new album, double, between Italian and English, 'Back to the future / Back to the future'.
A white sheet with the name of Elisa in the center and an infinite number of arrows, which start from there and refer to all directions: they go forward and wink at what is left behind.
And then also singing with Jovanotti, Elodie, Rkomi, Giorgia and Rochelle.
Many souls, for a single album, or rather two.
"None of these souls have ever been placed in the corner - said the voice of Monfalcone - but there have been moments, until today,
in which to prefer one rather than another.
I have often chosen for my works a photograph that I now had in my head, in favor of albums that went in a linear direction.
Sometimes I have tried to shape an artistic thought and channel it, to avoid it taking me elsewhere.
This time, however, the upstream choice was precisely to embrace all the different instincts and directions that would come.
I was strict only on the quality of the song.
For the rest, at full speed. "Many souls, those of Elisa, who will also return on tour, with a special project to be announced shortly and with an environmental theme. Twenty-five tracks (plus two in the digital version of the album) ,
all unpublished and interpreted in a multitude of sound worlds ranging from multi-voice songs to the participation of colleagues (see the chapter Calcutta, Venerus and many others), passing through the most diverse productions and an album devoted to the community, in times of pandemic and isolations.
"I tried to make the album look more like a playlist than a concept disc - said Elisa - because after the two years we spent, doing a 'vent', extroverted job was a necessity. my album of reaction to everything we have lived. To an extraordinary situation I had to respond with a reaction of equal impact, for which I strove to the cube ".

Not even here I have given myself limits - explained Elisa - going all the way in the choice of all these genres.
