For a little over two weeks, the Beijing Winter Olympics will have punctuated the daily lives of sports enthusiasts of all kinds: skating, skiing, snowboarding, biathlon or even curling, the choice is not lacking on this occasion.
But Sunday, February 20, it will already be time to close this Olympic parenthesis, which will not return for four years.
To end these Olympics, a closing ceremony is obviously planned.
Follow the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics live
Because it takes place from 8 p.m. in Beijing,
the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics will be broadcast live on France Télévisions from 1 p.m. on Sunday February 20.
No need to subscribe to a paid subscription to enjoy the event, and no need to get up in the middle of the night either, as is still the case to follow certain Olympic events.
As with all competitions, the closing ceremony will take place without an audience on site: viewing it from a screen will therefore be the only way to enjoy it.
Direction Italy in 2026
Like all the closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games, that of Beijing will be an opportunity to follow the passing of the torch to the next organizing country.
Italy will host the next edition of the Winter Olympics from February 6 to 22, 2026. Let's hope that by then, the health bubble surrounding the Olympics will be lifted, and that the public will once again be able to attend the many events that fascinate winter sports lovers.
Appointment is made in four years.
