Rossmann recalls the product - and warns consumers of an unpleasant danger

The drugstore chain Rossmann has launched a product recall - and even warns consumers of unpleasant consequences.

Burgwedel - attention, recall!

Anyone who last used the spreads shelf at Rossmann should check carefully whether it is the affected product.

The drugstore chain is recalling the enerBiO pistachio cream with the EAN 4305615601335.

According to the information, there is a danger with the best before date (MHD) 08.03.2023.

The date is printed on the side of the label.

Other best-before dates or other enerBiO products are not affected by the recall.

Rossmann also states the reason for the recall in terms of preventive consumer protection.

According to this, salmonella was detected in the product as part of self-monitoring.

The consequences can be unpleasant.

According to the recall, a salmonella infection can manifest itself within a few days after infection with diarrhea, abdominal pain and occasional vomiting and a slight fever.

The pistachio cream with the specified best before date should not be consumed.

Rossmann continues: “The symptoms usually subside on their own after several days.

Babies, small children, senior citizens and people with a weakened immune system in particular can develop more severe illnesses.

Anyone who develops severe or persistent symptoms should seek medical attention and report possible Salmonella infection.”

The item in question has already been withdrawn from sale.

Of course, it could still be on some breakfast tables.

The drugstore chain apologizes for the inconvenience and explains that customers will of course be reimbursed for the retail price.
