(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 20 - The Olympic adventure of alpine skiing in Beijing 2022 ends with an Austrian gold, after the elimination of Italy in the quarter-finals of the parallel giant slalom for mixed teams.
In the final match, held between Germany and Austria, Katharine Truppe was beaten by the German Lena Duerr in 24.59.
Then Stefan Brennsteiner won in 23.72 over the German or Julian Rauchfuss and Katharina Liensberger got the better of the German Emma Aicher out of the race.
Germany wins with Alexander Schmid against the Austrian Johannes Strolz, but it is not enough.
Austria wins, silver to Germany.
Norway conquers the bronze by beating the United States of America: 2-2, but better times for the Scandinavians.
Mikaela Shiffrin also loses in the sixth attempt in Beijing 2022 against the Norwegian Stjernesund and closes the Olympics without even a medal.
