Prof. Ash: "Hospital congestion has taken a toll on human lives" // Yaakov Eliach, Spokeswoman for the Knesset
"We had close to 100,000 verified patients a day and the number of infected was close to twice that. Although the variant causes a mild disease, certainly for those who are vaccinated, in the end we reach a number of serious patients and it reached close to 200 serious patients a day," said Prof. Ash, adding: "Hospital congestion has not-so-simple prices. We have seen ambulances waiting at the entrance to the emergency room. The congestion has had a cost in human lives, treatment capacity is impaired and mortality is rising. It also has a price in the attrition of medical staff."
The director general of the Ministry of Health said that they would demand from the prime minister, who talks about the fact that growth has increased and there is an economic improvement as a result of everything being open in the economy - additional budgeting for the health system.
