"If it closes, it's a piece of the soul of the neighborhood that will leave," fears a regular at 160, rue Oberkampf.
The Espace Form private swimming pool in the Oberkampf district is due to close on February 28.
It usually welcomed water aerobics enthusiasts, swimmers of different levels but also schoolchildren from eight schools.
A petition has been launched on change.org to preserve the place because so far neither the users nor the borough hall, François Vauglin (PS), know of the plans of the owner of the place.
The petition has already garnered over 2,000 signatures.
