(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 23 - The Ambassador of Italy to Oman, Federica Favi, met the delegation of Emilia RomagnaMercati Rete di Imprese visiting Oman in recent days with the support of ART-ER, the Consortium Society of the Region for innovation, internationalization and the attractiveness of investments and talents.
The representatives of the fruit and vegetable market network of Parma, Rimini, Cesena and Bologna - among the main Italian operators in the sector - are exploring the opportunities for entering a market characterized by limited quality products, especially in fresh produce.
The Italian Embassy in Muscat assists the Network in meeting with distribution, local authorities and logistics operators to encourage an entry into the market of excellent products at competitive prices.
The strength of the Network is its long experience in the management of wholesale markets and the cold chain with a view to transferring the current central markets of Muscat to the new headquarters of the Khazaen logistics hub.
During the meeting, Ambassador Favi underlined that "Oman offers an interesting potential for the export of quality Italian fruit and vegetables, not only in large-scale distribution, but also in the tourism and hotel sector, destined for strong development in the country" .
