The metro, bus and RER lines should be disrupted at least all day on March 25. The organizations are meeting on Friday to decide on the terms of the movement.

A difficult day is to be expected for travelers on the Ile-de-France transport network.

The main trade unions of RATP agents, FO-RATP, Solidaires RATP, UNSA RATP, CFE-CGC Groupe RATP, La Base groupe RATP and CGT RATP announced on Wednesday an “

unlimited

” strike which would affect the entire network .

from March 25th.

A meeting between the trade unions is scheduled for Friday to determine the terms of the strike movement.

The movement should be extensive, according to the UNSA, which says that many metro, bus and RER lines will be stopped that day.

The trade union also adds that the forms of strike will be varied.

Probable "

invasions

" of organizations are to be expected, such as Île-de-France mobilities or institutions representing the State.

We want to mark the occasion.

We will not hesitate to be heard during the campaign trips of certain candidates

,” says Arole Lamasse, secretary general of the UNSA-RATP.

Rising wages and opening up to competition

As during the last strike movement which took place on February 18, the unions are demanding a 3% increase in wages to "

cope with inflation and defend purchasing power in Ile-de-France

".

They dispute the 2.7% proposed by the RATP, saying that it is really only a real increase of 0.4%.

Another demand, the opening up to competition for bus networks, which is pushing organizations to mobilize to assert their disagreement.

The RATP, for its part, affirms that the negotiations on the wage increases have been completed since February 18 and will lead to a proposal for a 2.7% increase in wages.

No comment was made on the strike call by the trade unions.
