The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, discussed with the Head of the Regional Education Department at the Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO in Beirut Hana Yoshimito to deepen the fields of educational cooperation and to identify the national needs that can be met within this framework.
Minister Tabbaa stressed during the meeting held today at the ministry’s building the need for education to reach all Syrian children and to take education out of any crisis, pointing to the importance of cooperation between the ministry and the organization by providing schools in the governorates of Daraa, Quneitra and Aleppo with the wood needed to manufacture school benches in order to improve the educational environment and cooperation in curriculum development.
Tabbaa stressed the importance of supporting national efforts in the field of protection, preservation and preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, hoping that the organization's role would be enshrined as an umbrella for education, education, emotional social learning and teacher training.
In turn, Yoshimito drew attention to the organization's keenness to enhance educational cooperation with the Ministry of Education by defining its priorities, supporting educational work and improving the educational environment in Syria.
The meeting was attended by the expert of the UNESCO Regional Office for Education in the Arab Countries in Beirut, Marco Pasqualini, and the Secretary of the National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, Dr. Nidal Hassan.
