(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 24 - "The situation that is staggering following the increase in electricity tariffs and the rise in fuel prices is becoming worrying also in relation to the protests of hauliers".
This was stated by the president of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Massimiliano Fedriga.
"There is a risk - he continued - of possible blockages of supply and circulation of goods, particularly in the Southern Regions. For this reason, we ask that the Government activate a discussion table with the Regions involved as soon as possible on these issues".
Meanwhile, there are still protests and 'snail pulling' on the Italian motorways against the increase in fuel prices.
The mobilization of hauliers from the South continues today in Puglia, Molise and Sicily, but the queues also continue at the entrance to the port of Ravenna.
"We will continue until the government does not understand our reasons", say some members of the protest, which was not launched by any national union.
According to what is learned, some hauliers have reported that their vehicles would have been blocked by the same demonstrators on the motorway so that they could not continue and join the mobilization.
Slowdowns have also been recorded on Biferina (Molise) and on various Apulian state governments in view of a new protest tomorrow in Bari.
