Are you wondering why "Euphoria" is currently so hyped?

In addition to the story, the acting performance of the actors is currently convincing many Sky subscribers.

"And the next shallow teen series" may go through the mind of some when the Sky series * "Euphoria" is mentioned.

If you break the story down to the essentials, this assumption is also obvious: A group of high school students makes their first experiences with love and quarrels with themselves, the past and social conventions.

So the series doesn't open up any new thematic worlds, but it still captivates countless viewers

.

This is not only due to the sometimes very good cast.

The drug-addicted protagonist, Rue Bennett, will be portrayed by American actress Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, who has garnered critical acclaim for her performance.

According to many fans, another reason to watch "Euphoria" is the closeness to reality.

There is actually little talk of banal glitter and glamor problems in "Euphoria".

The focus of the series is 17-year-old Rue Bennett, who has just come out of rehab.

However, her drug addiction is so strong that it continues to dominate her life.

A new student could put a stop to that: When Rue meets transgender Jules Vaughn (played by Hunter Schafer), Rue's life seems to improve.

But Jules is on the verge of falling in love with an internet acquaintance she's never met.

The story behind the characters Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi) and Kat Hernandez (Barbie Ferreira) ensure that "Euphoria" is more likely to be counted among the dark and dramatic series

.

The former suffers from aggression issues and Kat feels uncomfortable in her body, but then finds supposed validation in her camgirl existence.

Kino.de editor Beatrice Osuji summarizes the fascination of "Euphoria" as follows: "

As in the first season, "Euphoria" doesn't shy away from being brutal and unembellished and depicting the deep abysses of the characters that

she so desperately hides behind stylish outfits and fancy make-up.

The fact that my own school days have little in common with those of Rue and Co. doesn't bother me at all.

Because if you're looking for realism, you'll find it in the flawed characters."
