The CGT and FO unions of Ehpad Orpea and the clinics of its subsidiary Clinea are calling for a strike on March 8 for better working conditions and care for the people accommodated, they said in a press release on Thursday.

We are waiting for the end of the mistreatment in our establishments
,” Guillaume Gobet, CGT manager and former cook at Orpea, told AFP, indicating that “
nothing has changed
” since the revelations of the book-investigation
Les Fossoyeurs
, which accuses Orpea of having set up a “
system
” to optimize its profits to the detriment of the well-being of the elderly.
A rally is planned in front of the headquarters of Orpea in Puteaux (Hauts-de-Seine) with the participation of Belgian and German unions where the multinational is established, the statement said.
The CGT (second union) and FO (non-representative) as well as the CFDT (4th) have planned to file a complaint separately against the Orpea group, in particular for "
union discrimination
" in favor of the "
house
" organization Arc-en-Ciel , majority.
