(ANSA) - NEW YORK, FEBRUARY 24 - Sean Penn is in Ukraine filming a documentary on the Russian invasion.
"Newsweek" reports it today.
The Oscar-winning "Milk" actor was seen in Kiev during a press conference by Ukrainian authorities.
The documentary, which Penn has been working on for months, is a Vice Studios production with Vice World News and EndeavorContent.
The actor was already in Ukraine last year to prepare the shoot with meetings with the local armed forces.
Photos of the November visit were published at the time by the Kiev Army Press Service.
This time, since his arrival last week, the actor has met members of the president's office and Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, local and military journalists.
Sean Penn has several pivotal-war and humanitarian projects to his credit.
These include the documentary "CitizenPenn" which focuses on his efforts in response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti (ANSA).
