The Health Committee convened yesterday to discuss the issue of harm to the treatment of geriatric coronary patients •

Following the publication in "Israel Today", the health committee met yesterday to discuss the issue of harm to the treatment of geriatric corona patients.

The initiator of the discussion, MK Etty Hava Atiya, said at the beginning of the discussion: "According to a publication by journalist Ran Reznik in the newspaper 'Israel Hayom', geriatric hospitals have been warning for a long time that they are in financial collapse due to special expenses.

Following the corona, non-governmental geriatric institutions and hospitals received special support in the amount of close to NIS 200 million a year.

This year this budgeting was stopped.

It is our duty to assist these hospitals so that they have financial strength.

It is a direct concern for our generation of parents and grandparents, who should receive quality care that will improve their health. "

MK Etty Hava Atiyah,

Dr. Irit Lexer, head of the geriatrics department at the Ministry of Health, said at the hearing: “We have created an array and ability to keep geriatric patients in the nursing homes or nursing homes where they are located.

Nursing homes are in the third appendix of the State Health Insurance Act, and the payment agreements to them is only through the tender code.

"Usually the payment in the tender is given immediately, but it is possible that some of the funds were not transferred due to all kinds of checks."
