According to the forecast of the German Weather Service (DWD), the cloud cover will tear up in many places in Germany at the weekend.
Before that, this Friday, a day with lots of clouds and rain, snow or sleet approaching from the north-west must be survived, as the DWD announced on Thursday in Offenbach.
Brief thunderstorms are also possible.
Above 400 to 600 meters it snows.
In addition, it remains at three to eight degrees, on the Upper Rhine it can also be ten degrees.
In the north and on the mountains it will be stormy.
Southeast initially cloudy
On Saturday, the high »Kai« loosens up the clouds from the north-west and it will be partly sunny and dry.
The southeast cannot benefit from this, the clouds remain there, and it is still snowing a little, especially in the Alps and in the eastern low mountain ranges.
It doesn't get warmer than nine degrees, and there is permafrost in some high areas.
During the night it is frosty almost everywhere.
The DWD warns that slippery weather due to freezing residual wetness or slight snowfall must be expected.
Sunday will bring a lot of sun at two to ten degrees and only a few clouds after local fog fields have cleared.
