The Ministry of Health today (Friday) instructs the public in various localities in the Hefer Valley to boil water and prohibits the use of tap water, following an explosion in a main water line in the area.
Meanwhile, these are the guidelines of the Ministry of Health at this stage:
In the locality of Kfar Vitkin, it is forbidden to use water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and preparing medicines.

In the locality of Hofit Water, an emergency tank will be provided by the council.
In the localities of Shoshanat HaEmakim, Tzuki Yam, Havatzelet Hasharon, Beit Yanai, Beit Herut, Bitan Aharon, Givat Shapira, Neurim and Bat Chen - water should be boiled for five minutes for the purpose of drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and preparing medicines.
There are no special guidelines in the localities of Avihayil and Mikhmoret.
Mekorot is currently repairing the pipe and water tests that will indicate its quality.
