The situation in hospitals has steadily improved in France.
All indicators are down.
This Saturday, 25,264 Covid-19 positive patients are hospitalized in France, according to the latest report published by Public Health France.
They were 25,484 the day before.
In critical care services (intensive care, continuous monitoring and resuscitation), 2,484 Covid-19 positive patients are currently hospitalized compared to 2,546 on Friday.
If this rate of decline remained constant, the threshold for lifting the vaccination pass (1,500) would be reached around March 20.
About a third of Covid patients admitted to hospital each day and a quarter of those admitted to critical care are initially admitted for a reason other than the coronavirus (while having been infected).
-32% new cases in one week
New cases are also dropping.
53,623 contaminations were recorded on Saturday by Public Health France, against 58,138 the day before and against 63,132 cases per day on average last week (-32% in one week).
But Public Health France deplores 93 new deaths of positive patients in hospital in the past 24 hours against 188 the day before.
Since the start of the pandemic, 138,059 people positive for the virus have died.
