The British actress Helen Mirren (76) has been honored by the Hollywood actors' association Screen Actors Guild (SAG) for her life's work.
Her fellow actress Kate Winslet presented her with the trophy on Sunday evening (local time).
"Life's work, that sounds so great," Mirren said in her speech.
"I suppose I'm still alive, so I guess I'm fit by that standard." The Oscar winner also shared her mantra behind her achievements: "Be on time and don't be a jerk."
In her speech, the 76-year-old also thanked the actors who had shaped her career: as role models and as colleagues.
For Mirren it is the sixth SAG award of her career.
The SAG Awards were presented for the 28th time.
Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) won the Best Actress award this year.
The 44-year-old prevailed with her role as the eccentric TV evangelist Tammy Faye against colleagues like Lady Gaga (»House of Gucci«) and Nicole Kidman (»Being the Ricardos«).
Will Smith (»King Richard«) scooped the first SAG trophy of his career in the Best Actor category.
In the sports drama, the 53-year-old embodies the ambitious father of tennis icons Serena and Venus Williams.
Heralds for the Academy Awards
In the top category for the Ensemble Prize, the drama »Coda« about the daughter of deaf parents who wants to be a singer beat out competitors like »Belfast«, »House of Gucci« and »King Richard«.
"Coda" actor Troy Kotsur (53) also won the trophy for best supporting actor.
The Best Supporting Actress award went to Ariana DeBose (31) for the film musical »West Side Story«.
The vote of the Screen Actors Guild is considered a sign for the Oscars.
