Some want to leave to supply the Ukrainians with food and equipment, others are ready to fight.
While Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Sunday the creation of the "International Legion" and called on foreigners to join the "resistance to the Russian occupiers", in France, voices are rising to volunteer.
Aged between 20 and 30, a dozen candidates for a departure for the Polish border gathered in front of the Ukrainian embassy in Paris.
"I came to take the latest information to return to the territory," says Julien *, a young man of Polish and Ukrainian origins who wishes to defend the "oppressed" population.
Like his comrades met on social networks, Julien prefers "not to go on an adventure" and prepare his departure well "to help as best as possible on the spot".

“It is out of the question for me to stand idly by while Europeans are being killed,” insists Markus, decided to fly to Poland in order to get to the country at war as quickly as possible.
"I don't have a military background, but I'm ready to take up arms if I'm asked to," he adds, before concluding: "I have a background in mechanics, so I could at least help them to repair vehicles.
