When was the last time you were told you were similar to your parents?

The British Sun has published 20 common signs that you have become your parents, for better or worse.

Before we reveal the signs to you, here are some surprising figures from a survey of 2,000 adults in the UK, half of whom believe they have become their parents.

According to studies, the change occurs exactly at the age of 32 and a half.

24 percent of respondents admitted that they now understand why their parents were right when arguing with them about things in their youth.

Louise Care, who conducted the research for research firm OnePoll, said: "We're learning how to be parents from our parents - from whom else? So, it's not surprising to find that many adults consider themselves sexual versions of their mothers and fathers, at some point in life. That many of the signs that indicate you are "becoming your parents" are very personal things - that all parents seem to do. "

The study also found that just under a quarter (23 percent) of the adults surveyed find themselves using similar expressions to their parents, such as "You do not leave the house dressed like that!".

Women are slightly more likely to report feeling that they are becoming similar to their parent than men - 50 percent compared to 47 percent.

84 percent believe that only after having children did they realize how much their behavior began to reflect their mother or father.

Of those who believe they are going the way of their parents, nearly two-thirds (63 percent) have come to terms with this fate, but 42 percent of respondents have actively tried not to become their parent, even if, for 79 percent, it ended up being inevitable.

4 out of 10 people believe that becoming their parent has made them feel closer to him.

84 per cent of respondents admitted to receiving criticism from their partner for becoming just like their mother or father.

31 percent of their respondents have older children said they too have noticed that their children are starting to become similar to them.

Lewis concluded: "The cycle of life continues, manners and behaviors are passed down from generation to generation. Some of our behaviors may be influenced by even older generations - so maybe something funny your mom or dad did and you find yourself doing today - is a joke your family has run for centuries "It's weird to think about it but it might explain why so many of us want to pass on their positive traits to their children."
