There is no doubt that this has been a crazy month in the life of Michael Ben David, Israel's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The 25-year-old singer, who only a few months ago still sold vegetables in the supermarket, recently won the "X Factor" program and was chosen to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest.
He later made headlines, signed a contract with an artist management company that also represents names like Static and Ben El Tavori, and even produced a diplomatic incident between the cities of Petah Tikva, Ramat Gan and Ashkelon, all of which wanted to take credit for his victory in the competition.
The last sentence may be a bit exaggerated, but it's not the only thing exaggerated when it comes to Ben David.
On the set of the music video for the song "IM", which he will perform in May at the singing competition in Italy, Michael talked to "Israel Today" about his new life and the reactions to the song on blogs around the world (ranging from pure hatred to unrestrained enthusiasm), as well as the song's position in the charts The stakes (which is not that high, unfortunately).
At the same time, the musician explained his side regarding rumors that he threatened not to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest, and also talked about his Ukrainian roots and the way the war is perceived in his home, his opinion on the European Broadcasting Union's decision to exclude Russia from the competition. Hebrew deserves credit for its success.
