Fremantle acquires 70% of Lux Vide

Fremantle, one of the world's leading cultural and entertainment production groups, has closed a deal to acquire 70 percent of Lux Vide, Europe's leading television production company. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 03 - Fremantle, one of the leading cultural and entertainment production groups in the world, has closed an agreement for the acquisition of 70 percent of Lux Vide, a leading company in Europe in television production.

The Bernabei family retains control of the remaining 30 percent.

Luca Bernabei confirms himself as CEO at the helm of Lux, a company founded by Ettore Bernabei and Matilde Bernabei in 1992.


   The president of Lux becomes Andrea Scrosati, Group Coo and Ceoeuropeo di Fremantle, with Matilde Bernabei as honorary president and member of the board of directors with powers.

Lux Vide is the only Italian company awarded an Emmy with the TV film Giuseppe from the series The stories of the Bible.

Among the great successes, Don Matteo, A step from heaven, The Island of Pietro, May God help us, DOC, Blanca, Good morning Mom, the great international productions such as I Medici, Leonardo and Diavoli.

With the acquisition of Lux Vide, Fremantle consolidates its presence in Italy, where the group already operates with FremantleMediaItalia, Wildside and The Apartment.

In our country, Fremantle produces programs such as X Factor, Italia's Got Talent, The VoiceSenior, has signed successful docuseries such as Veleno, and the most longeva Italian soap Un Posto al Sole.
