No bread in the house, but really hungry?

Don't eat unhealthy, but bake a quick oatmeal pan bread.

It keeps you full for a long time and is healthy.

Homemade bread is all the rage, but there isn't always enough time to prepare a yeast dough and let it rise.

If you want to go a little faster, pan bread made from oatmeal flour is just the thing.

It's quick to make in the pan, and the oatmeal makes it healthy and keeps you full for longer.

Oatmeal Pan Bread: How to prepare the recipe

  • If you don't have oatmeal at home, first grind the oat flakes into flour in a blender or with an immersion blender - as finely as possible.

  • Mix the oat flour (300 g) with the quark (250 g), the baking powder (2 teaspoons), salt to taste and spices.

  • Add the water (75 ml) and knead everything into a dough.

  • Divide the dough into 12 portions and roll or press them into a round shape.

  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and bake the bread in it for about ten minutes.

    Turn once halfway through.

  • Fancy fresh rolls?

This is how quick pancakes succeed.

You can serve the finished oatmeal pan bread as an accompaniment to soup or curry, but you can also simply top it with butter, quark and vegetables such as fresh tomatoes or cucumbers.

The oatmeal panbread is also really tasty with a sweet topping.

    Try it!
