A fish delicatessen producer is recalling pickled king prawns.
Infection can be dangerous for certain groups.
Bremerhaven - A fish delicatessen company from Bremerhaven has warned against consuming a certain batch of king prawns in garlic spice oil and has initiated a recall.
The reason, according to the Abelmann company: Salmonella.
Shrimp recall: Salmonella detected in seafood
Specifically, the recall concerns the 350-gram pack of "Premium king prawns in garlic spice oil, cooked, peeled" with batch number #034 (EAN 4005957 906289) and the best-before date of March 3, 2022. The prawns were sold in the federal states of Bavaria and Bremen , Hesse, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia, writes the portal

Heinrich Abelmann GmbH announced that salmonella had been detected in the product during regular checks.
She confirmed that no other Abelmann products are contaminated.
Salmonella is discovered again and again.
The department store chain Real recently had to recall chicken breast fillets.
Rossmann started the recall of a pistachio cream.
The Abelmann company is recalling shrimp pickled in garlic oil because of salmonella.

Shrimp recall: Salmonella infection can be dangerous for certain groups
Salmonella germs can trigger gastrointestinal diseases.
Symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal pain, occasional vomiting, and a slight fever.
The symptoms usually go away on their own after a few days.
However, infants, small children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly susceptible to severe disease progression.
Food safety is not guaranteed for Abelmann shrimp.
For reasons of precautionary consumer protection, the product affected by the recall has been withdrawn from sale.
The Abelmann company points out that consumers can dispose of the germ-contaminated king prawns themselves or bring them back to the retailer.
