Note that a treadmill can also do the trick, when it has settings suitable for this practice, that is to say with a very low speed adjustment.

The treadmill is the most accessible way to exert yourself in a gentle way, without having to leave your home, and by soliciting the whole body.

Treadmill or treadmill: what are the differences?

The treadmill and the treadmill share certain technical characteristics: the main one is that in both cases it is a device that incorporates a treadmill that allows you to move forward while standing still.

It's a way to exercise without having to move, while still moving: a simple and complicated explanation at the same time!

However, while it is generally possible to walk on a treadmill, the converse is not always true.

The treadmill is distinguished from the treadmill by the speed at which the treadmill can go.

Usually it can go slow, from 0.5-0.8 km/h up to around 6 km/h.

This makes it useful for therapeutic walking, in a rehabilitation process for example, but also for active walking.

The treadmill, on the other hand, generally starts at 1 or 2 km/h minimum, and can go up to 10 or 12 km/h on average.

Therefore, if you want to invest in a treadmill for both running and walking, it is important to ensure that the minimum speed available corresponds to your needs.

Then, it is more common to find frameless treadmills than treadmills: running fast can require holding on at times, and that's where this accessory comes in very handy.

When there's no frame, there's also no screen to access the information, which can be problematic for effectively tracking exercise performance.

Finally, treadmills are often less expensive than treadmills, but since they are less versatile, this is understandable.

Treadmill: how long to do per day?

The National Institute for Prevention and Health Education (INPES) recommends doing at least 30 minutes of active walking every day to stay healthy.

This proposal is however an average and it all depends on your physical condition, your age and your habits.

If you don't exercise, then using your treadmill for 30 minutes at a gentle pace can be a great start to getting back in shape.

There's nothing stopping you from picking up speed if you feel ready.

If in doubt, do not hesitate to consult your doctor for his recommendations, and set up a training program adapted to your physical condition and your various objectives.
