A digital artwork in NFT format, depicting the flag of Ukraine, raised over $ 6.7 million.

The initiative was launched by the UkraineDAO organization and supported by a militant from the Pussy Riot feminist group.

As reported by CNN, the sale attracted about 3,200 individual contributions in 72 hours, for an amount of just over 2,258 ethereum, among the main cryptocurrencies, along with bitcoins, used by those who are sending economic support to the Kiev government and organizations. in the country.

UkraineDAO said the funds will go to "Come Back Alive", a campaign in support of the Ukrainian army.

NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, allow buyers to gain ownership of a digital work, in this case a version of the blue and yellow flag of Ukraine.

Although it was produced in a single edition on the ethereum blockchain, the file allows buyers to share ownership, with contributions ranging from 0.00001 to 44 ethereum, equal to 0.03 and 128,000 dollars.

Donors, in addition to the NFT, will be able to receive cryptocurrency percentages on future sales of the file, a possible object of upward bargaining, although UkraineDAO has urged the owners to keep the work, as a reminder "of the continuing humanitarian needs of our world" .
