From Monday 7 March the administration of the new Novavax vaccine will start in pharmacies in Rome and Lazio.
This was announced by the President of Federfarma Rome, Andrea Cicconetti.
"Reservations are already active from today - he explains - the pharmacies in Rome and Lazio are once again at the forefront in the fight against Covid-19".
For the moment, a supply of about 2 thousand doses per week is planned for pharmacies throughout the Region.
As for each individual pharmacy, they will receive 10 doses per week.
Anyone aged 18 or over and who has not yet vaccinated against Covid can proceed with the booking.
The second dose should be administered three weeks after the first.
The portal system, when booking the first dose, will automatically set the appointment for the second.
Persons assisted by the Lazio Regional Health Service who want to book the vaccine must: have their own health card (valid) available to communicate the tax code and the last 8 digits of the EHIC numerical code on the back of the card;
choose the pharmacy where they intend to receive the vaccine from the list;
select the day;
leave your phone number: the chosen Pharmacy will call to fix the time of the
appointment.
"The Lazio Region - explains Cicconetti - was among the first in Italy to start vaccinations in pharmacies several months ago.
Starting next Monday, it will once again be the first to give citizens the opportunity to carry out the first vaccination course in pharmacies with Nuvaxovid.
It is a new safe and effective vaccine which, considering the technology with which it was made, will be able to convince many skeptics towards mRna vaccines to finally undergo the first injection. "Parallel to this, the administrations also continue in the pharmacy of the "booster" doses of the Moderna vaccine.
