When the earth does not turn round, music has proven that it knows how to mobilize.
While the war in Ukraine is becoming more violent every day, France 2 and France Inter, in partnership with the Red Cross and Le Parisien - Today in France, are organising, on Tuesday March 8, two free concerts in support of the Ukrainian people and to all populations affected by the conflict.
The evening will be hosted by Nagui and Leïla Kaddour live, in public, and broadcast simultaneously on France Inter, France 2 and TV5 Monde.
From Studio 104 of Radio France, a pop rock program is being prepared.
Several celebrities have already answered the call: Clara Luciani, Indochine, Pascal Obispo, Julien Clerc, Carla Bruni, Jane Birkin, Angélique Kidjo, Barbara Pravi, Sofiane Pamart...
In the auditorium of the Maison de la Radio, the atmosphere will be classic and also very high-end.
On the program, the great symphonic pages interpreted by the National Orchestra of France.
The choir and the Radio France master will be accompanied by Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili, soprano Patricia Petibon, tenor Benjamin Bernheim and jazz trumpeter David Enhco.
A call for donations
The evening will begin at 9 p.m. and will last two and a half hours.
"The concerts will follow alternately between the two halls, each of them will be broadcast live", specify the organizers.
If the entrance is free for those who wish to move, it is necessary to reserve on the site of the House of the Radio.
At the same time, the two public audiovisual groups broadcast on their antennas a call for donations "Support the French Red Cross" to "concretely respond to the humanitarian emergency and meet the needs of the populations which are constantly increasing".
