(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 05 - There are 39,963 new infections from Covid in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
Yesterday there were 38,095.
The victims are 173 (yesterday they were 210).
The molecular and antigenic swabs carried out are 381,484 (yesterday they were 388,836).
The positivity rate is 10.5%, up from 9.8% yesterday.
On the other hand, 609 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, 16 fewer than yesterday in the balance between entries and exits.
The daily admissions are 59. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards are 8,974, or323 fewer than yesterday.
There are 12,990,223 Italians infected with Covid since the beginning of the pandemic.
The currently positive are 1,018,831, down 4,956 in the last 24 hours, while the total deaths rise to 155,782.
The discharged and healed are 11,815,610, with an increase of 46,147 compared to yesterday.
