(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 05 - A minute of silence and then a long applause.
So the many who met in Piazza San Giovanni in Rome ideally started, after the procession, the demonstration organized by the 'Peace and Disarmament Network' against the war and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
"We are many to demonstrate against the aggression, for peace and we ask: ceasefire".
FrancescaFarruggia, from Archivio e Disarmo said this, speaking first from the stage.
"Without distinction of places and cultures - she added - we must help everyone because there are no Serie A and Serie B refugees-. The UN must conduct negotiations between the parties. No arms but we must build bridges for solidarity between ipopoli ".
