After quite a few promos and hype, Aviv Geffen and "Hot" inaugurated yesterday (Sunday) "Moon Years", the plot series about the singer.
After three decades as an integral part of the DNA of Israeli culture, Geffen decided to bring the story of his meteoric rise to the small screen, and tried from a distance to unfold his personal story, alongside the story of nineties Israel.
The Zappa Midtown Club in Tel Aviv was filled with the faces of those you would expect to come to the launch of this type of product.
Among them are also Geffen's relatives in the form of Lior Dayan, colleagues who also began their careers at the time of the Eran Tzur type, but also some new faces.
Prominent among them were Noah Engelhard, who plays the young Aviv, and Gili Itzkovich, who stepped into the shoes of Ilana Berkovich, his partner in the most well-publicized Israeli relationship in the 1990s.
Alongside them were also the son Dylan who walked around among the guests, and Niro Levy, who plays father Jonathan in the series, revealing similarities between the two that many have already noticed in the past.
They told "Israel Today" about the way they entered the roles of such well-known characters in the local landscape, the attempt to recreate iconic events in Israeli culture, and what the real people thought about their representation on screen.
"Moon Years" will air from 10.3 on Thursdays at 20:15 on HOT3 and premieres from 8.3 on HOT VOD and Next TV.
