(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 07 - The occupation of places in intensive care by Covid-19 patients in Italy is still at 6%, compared to 28% that was recorded exactly one year ago.
The percentage of beds in non-critical areas is also stable, at 14%, which, a year ago, these days, was more than double and, with a growing trend, reached 32%.
This is indicated by the monitoring data of the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas), updated to 6 March 2022, compared with those of 6 March 2021.
In detail, currently, the percentage of intensive care beds occupied by patients with Covid increases daily only in Liguria (8%) and Lombardy (5%), while it decreases in 5 regions: Abruzzo (7%), Campania (5 %), Friuli-Venezia Giulia (6%), Marche (7%), Sicily (7%).
Conversely, the intensive employment rate is stable in 14: Basilicata (1%), Calabria (8%), Emilia Romagna (8%), Lazio (10%), Molise (5%), Pa Bolzano (2 %), Pa Trento (3%), Piedmont (5%), Puglia (6%), Sardinia (13%), Tuscany (18%), Umbria (6%), Valle d'Aosta (6%) and Veneto (4%).
As regards the occupation of beds in medical departments (called 'non-critical') by patients with Covid-19, on a daily basis, the percentage drops in 8 regions: Abruzzo (21%), Basilicata (23%) , Lazio (17%), Liguria (14%),
Pa Trento (10%), Sicily (23%), Umbria (20%), Valle d'Aosta (8%).
Finally, the rate is stable in 13: Calabria (24%), Campania (14%), Emilia Romagna (13%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (12%), Lombardy (8%), Marche (16%), Molise (15%), Bolzano (13%), Piedmont (10%), Puglia (19%) Sardinia (20%), Tuscany (14%) and Veneto (8%).
