(ANSA) - TOKYO, 07 MAR - The Tokyo Stock Exchange starts the first session of the week in sharp decline, with investors looking with fear at the growing hostilities of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and at the prices of crude oil, which have reached their highs in 13 years .

At the opening, the Nikkei reference index recorded a decline of 1.43%, to 25,613.98 points, and a loss of 371 points.

On the currency market, the loyen loses ground at 114.90 against the dollar, while it appreciates at 124.90 against the euro.
