(ANSA) - LONDON, 08 MAR - The BBC has announced that it will resume its reports in English from Russia starting on Tuesday evening.
The British broadcaster had stopped transmissions from Russia last Friday after Moscow's tightening of the media with the introduction of an anti 'fake news' law.
"After careful analysis we have decided to resume work in English from Russia this evening (Tuesday 8 March) after the temporary suspension at the end of last week", explains the broadcaster in a note.
"We will tell this crucial part of the story in an independent and impartial manner, as dictated by the editorial standards of the BBC", he continues, "the safety of our staff in Russia remains the number one priority".
