The BBC announced the resumption of its English-language services from Russia from Tuesday evening after suspending them due to the adoption in Russia of a law imposing heavy prison sentences for the dissemination of "information lies about the army".

“After careful consideration, we have decided to resume English reporting from Russia this evening (Tuesday March 8), after it was temporarily suspended at the end of last week,” the British public broadcaster said in a statement.
